I have very fond memories as a young person,and going to gosforth high street with my mam,watching my mam getting olde,she looked like the Queen, and that's what hit me the most,and my memory of the Queen is even though she broadcast to the whole nation,it was if she was talking to you the Person,she did so much for our country,and I hope King Charles will follow her footsteps.

When I was a boy in the 1950's I lived in North London. I remember The Queen and her sister travelling along Green Lanes in a Limousine. I can still remember after all these years. They were both wearing white mink stoles and tiaras. Everything about the moment was pristine. There was not many people around, just few people on the pavements

During times of difficulty and strain, you remained the most strongest and powerful when the country needed it the most. Any other person would have crumbled but you stood tall and helped many people including those who suffered from apartheid in Africa. RIP your majesty.

All children living with sight loss

I have been lucky enough to see the Queen twice in my life, and been on the receiving end of a Royal Wave both times; first time in London at a Maundy Thursday Service, the second at the Opening Ceremony for Glasgow's Commonwealth Games in 2014. On watching the big screen opposite where we were sitting, I found we were directly above the Royal Box for the occasion!

The students and staff at Dorton College have prepared a Braille message for our Royal Patron, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. In case you can't read the transcript in the attached photo, it reads: "RSBC send our deepest sympathy on the passing of Queen Elizabeth. May she rest in perfect peace."

Students and staff at Dorton College were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our Patron Her Majesty The Queen. We have been holding daily sessions so the students can talk about what Her Majesty The Queen meant to them and the RSBC. Here you can see two of our students standing near the display we have created. Students have written braille letters and created braille inserts for the book of condolence.

Of course, we will want to cry too, because we have lost the most steadfast and solid rock we have ever known. But smile, as she would have wanted us to and lift up your souls with thanks, for her amazing reign and the wonderful lady that she was. Its with sadness that I have to write my condolensces to our beloved Queen who we saw on 2001 at Eastbury house Barking when she was going to a garden party there,There were quite a few people waiting to greet the Queen as she went into the grounds of Eastbury Manor House.

The RSBC

I am very saddened by the death of the Queen. Even as an older volunteer for RSBC she was the only Monarch I had known , and through good times and bad she always seemed like a source of comfort , stability and good sense. I saw her on 3 occasions but never met her , but I was proud to tell my friends that the Queen was the patron of the organisation I volunteered for ! God save the King !

One of the many special times we will remember is when Her Majesty, accompanied by her late husband, HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, opened RSBC Dorton College. We have shared a photo from that special day in 1989.
