I have been lucky enough to see the Queen twice in my life, and been on the receiving end of a Royal Wave both times; first time in London at a Maundy Thursday Service, the second at the Opening Ceremony for Glasgow's Commonwealth Games in 2014. On watching the big screen opposite where we were sitting, I found we were directly above the Royal Box for the occasion!
